MOZZA BAJA AT COSTA PALMAS

Mozza brings the relaxed vibe of Los Angeles and a distinct Baja spirit to the East Cape. The multi-dimensional eatery is the perfect blend of Osteria Mozza, Pizza Mozza and chi SPACCA, and an inimitable East Cape flare that focuses on tantalizing seafood, fresh produce, and outstanding provisions of the area. 

 

Mozza Baja is an expression of Nancy Silverton’s unique aesthetic and approach to cooking: focused but not fussy, straightforward and always uncompromising. 

WORLD CLASS DINING WITH AN EAST CAPE TWIST

Situated along the courtyard of the Marina Village, the restaurant offers a contemporary and eclectic setting with stunning views of the marina. Diners are invited to cluster around the wood-fired pizza oven, to take a seat at the bar counter or outdoor lounge, or to enjoy the private dining room to experience Nancy’s signature creations.

THE MENU

At the helm of Mozza Baja are Nancy’s proteges: Nicolas Rodriguez, Executive Chef and Marisa Takenaka, Executive Sous Chef and Pastry Chef. Rodriguez and Takenaka have tapped local farmers for their seasonal organic vegetables, the area’s fishermen for fresh bounty from the sea, and local producers for artisanal and homemade ingredients. In addition to beloved classics on the menu, standout items include linguine with local clams, and whole local fish alla Piastra with charred lemon and herbed salt.

ABOUT NANCY

Nancy Silverton is co-owner of Pizzeria Mozza, Michelin starred Osteria Mozza and chi SPACCA as well as the founder of La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles, the birthplace of the artisan bread movement in the U.S. Winner of the James Beard Foundation's highest honor – the ‘Outstanding Chef Award’ – in 2014, Silverton was also listed as one of the ‘Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink’ by both Fortune and Food & Wine in the same year.
